Ian Pyper. Born in Liverpool on the north-west coast of England in 1955, Pyper has drawn for as long as he can remember, but his way of drawing only arrived 'fully-formed in early 1989.'

Self-taught and working intuitively, Pyper's art is a form of pure meditation and spiritual contemplation. His work has variously been described as 'Future Primitive' and 'Paleolithique Moderne.'

Pyper's drawings and watercolour paintings have appeared in numerous outsider exhibitions in Europe, Japan, and the United States; also in Raw Vision and Resurgence magazines and a number of small-press outsider publications in the UK and France. In 1995, He moved to Brighton on the south coast of England to indulge his passion for the sea.
